2011 World Ranking top 10 groups specializing in health based on their sales and profitability. This classification includes consolidated sales at the end of 2010 the activities of top ten in sales achieved globally. The first place went to the U.S. group Pfizer which after its merger with U.S. pharmaceutical group Wyeth reached $ 67.8 billion in worldwide sales in 2010 with an increase of 36%. The U.S. group Abbott arrived in eighth position with $ 35 billion in sales worldwide in 2010 which achieved 19.9 billion in prescription drugs rose by 20.7%. The group's net profit for 2010 reached $ 4.6 billion placing group at the eighth position in terms of profitability ranking Pharmactua.
The British pharmaceutical group Astra Zeneca ranked ninth with 33.3 billion turnover in 2010 made up 1%. The net profit of 8.1 billion puts the group in sixth position in terms of profitability globally on 2010 behind the Roche Group.
